The Liferarian Association is a passionate community of Indian librarians and educators dedicated to advancing the library profession. We believe that empowered librarians are the foundation of future-ready libraries, and that professional growth transforms not only individuals but also the learning communities they serve.
Founded in 2016, the association brings together like-minded librarians — many from international and IB schools — to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and support each other. Through workshops, coaching, and an annual gathering, we provide a platform where librarians can learn, showcase best practices, and return to their schools with renewed skills and confidence.
As Ray Bradbury said, “Teachers are to inspire; Librarians are to fulfill.”We aim to strengthen the intellectual and emotional capabilities of librarians, enabling them to create libraries that positively impact student communities. By offering accessible professional development and networking opportunities, we help librarians unlock their potential, embrace innovation, and lead change in their schools.
Continuous professional development in literacy, information literacy, media literacy, and AI literacy.
Upholding professionalism as a core value.
